METIS - CTDS'2010
Fez, May 20-21-22, 2010

The spring school will be held at ZALAGH PARC PALACE, Fez

From May 20 to 22nd 2009 will be held in Fez, the city of the oldest degree-granting university in the world “The University of Al Karaouine”, the Third edition of the International Spring School on Distributed Systems. 

After the success of the first and second editions of the International Spring School on distributed systems (SystèMEs réparTIS)  METIS’2008 and METIS’2009, the third edition of this school is organized in conjunction with the Summer School on Current Trends in Distributed Systems (CTDS).  The METIS-CTDS’2010 school provides a unique opportunity to researchers, PhD students and engineers to attend talks and discuss hot topics in distributed computing from both a theoretical and a practical perspective. The topics of this year's Spring School will be presented by world-class experts from around the world.

The topics that will be covered by the school include recent advances and trends such as: multicore revolution, pervasive-service and cloud computing, long-lived transactions, distributed service composition, distributed information retrieval from the cloud, content dissemination over peer to peer networks, data sharing and processes failure etc.
