About METIS

The International Spring School on Distributed Systems METIS starts since 2008 in Rabat. Its objectives were to address hot advanced topics in the area of Distributed Systems to provide PhD students and young researchers with the last development in this area in order to help defining advanced PhD research topics. In fact Distributed Systems now constitute the fundamental core of new developments in the digital world especially with the recent advances in the AI era.
Today, artificial intelligence, Cloud computing, and Big Data technologies are shaping this new digital world. This digital environment generates massive amounts of data that represent a rich source of information, which must be leveraged to extract valuable data, knowledge, and insights for a wide range of applications. This vast volume of data must be secured and analyzed to uncover trends, identify previously unknown correlations, and enhance decision-making. Such decision support relies on the analysis of these massive datasets, made possible by the capabilities now offered by Artificial Intelligence.
