El Houcine BERGOU
Bio: El Houcine Bergou is a Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher and research scientist at KAUST, Saudi Arabia, from January 2018 to December 2020. He also worked as a research scientist at INRAE in Jouy-en-Josas, France, from September 2015 to December 2019. He earned his PhD in applied mathematics in 2014 from INPT in Toulouse, France, following a master’s degree and an engineering degree in applied mathematics and computer science from ENSTA ParisTech and ENSEEIHT in 2011. His research focuses on numerical optimization and its applications, including algorithms, machine learning, data assimilation, probability, and linear algebra.
