He has held academic positions as an Assistant Professor (Maître de conférences) at the University of La Rochelle and as an Associate Professor at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez.
He was involved in several European and French research projects, including Erasmus+ (E-Val, Satelit), Tempus (Pa@lmes), Marie Curie (TAROT), and ANR (Averroès), as well as academic and industrial projects in Morocco. These include collaborations with Autoroutes du Maroc (in partnership with MAScIR), the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Defense (Administration de la Défense Nationale). His research interests focus primarily on the application of AI techniques in the following areas: Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Natural Language Processing (NLP), particularly for Arabic and its dialects in the context of social media mining (e.g., profiling, deception detection, fake news, sentiment analysis, humor, sarcasm, and offensive language detection), and more recently, AI for Cybersecurity, including malware detection, phishing URL detection, threat hunting and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
